Privacy Policy

This page is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. What we store on your device. Calculator inputs, your dark/light mode choice, and your preferred unit system (US or metric) are saved in your browser's localStorage so they persist between visits. This data stays on your device — we don't receive it, and it's never sent to a server.

Shareable links. The "copy shareable link" feature encodes your calculator inputs directly into the URL. Anyone you share that link with can see those inputs — don't share a link if the inputs contain information you'd rather keep private.

Contact form. If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit, plus your IP address (used only for spam prevention). We use that information solely to read and reply to your message — we don't add you to a mailing list or use it for marketing. Two service providers help us process a submission: Cloudflare Turnstile verifies you're not a bot before the form submits, and Resend delivers your message to our inbox as our email provider. Neither uses your submission for their own purposes beyond providing that service to us.

Hosting. aiocalc.com is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data (IP address, browser type, request timing) to serve the site, protect it from abuse, and keep it online — this is infrastructure-level logging, not something we personally access to identify individual visitors.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns — which pages get visited, roughly where from, and what kind of device — never to identify you personally or to sell data to anyone. Whether it's on by default depends on where you're visiting from:

In the EU, EEA, or UK: you'll see a cookie banner on your first visit. Google Analytics only loads if you choose "Accept all" — choosing "Necessary only" keeps it off, and we won't ask again unless you clear your browser data or reset your choice (see below).
Everywhere else: Google Analytics runs by default without a banner. We determine your region using your IP address at the time of your visit — via Cloudflare's edge network — not by storing it.

You can change your choice at any time using Cookie Preferences in the footer of any page. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy for how they handle this data on their end.

Cookies. We don't set tracking or advertising cookies ourselves. The theme and unit-system preferences mentioned above are stored via your browser's localStorage, not cookies — they never get sent to a server the way a cookie would. When Google Analytics is active for you (per the Analytics section above), Google sets its own analytics cookies (for example, _ga) to distinguish visitors — those are set and controlled by Google, not us. The Turnstile widget on our contact form may also set a short-lived cookie or similar token as part of verifying you're not a bot; that's set and controlled by Cloudflare.

Third-party links. Some calculator pages link to external sites for further reading (for example, official government resources). Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control — this policy only covers aiocalc.com itself.

Children's privacy. aiocalc.com isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Using a calculator never requires personal information regardless of age; the contact form does collect a name, email, and message, and shouldn't be used by children to submit personal information without a parent or guardian.

Your data, your control. Everything described in "What we store on your device" lives entirely in your browser — clear it at any time via your browser's "clear site data" / "clear browsing data" tool, no account to delete required. If you'd like us to delete a message you sent through the contact form, let us know and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy. If our data practices change (for example, adding a new analytics or ad service), we'll update this page to reflect it rather than change behavior silently.
